What Is MVNE And MVNO?

What is an MVNE?

A Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) is a company that provides the infrastructure and support needed for MVNOs to operate.

MVNEs also provide other services to their MVNO customers, such as billing, customer support, and handset provisioning.

What is an MVNO?

MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) are small mobile service providers that don't have their own network infrastructure. Instead, they partner with Mobile Network Operators and use their network

MVNOs usually focus on a specific niche market or demographic, and they tailor their service plans and pricing to appeal to that group. For example, Boost Mobile is an MVNO that specializes in unlimited talk, text, and data plans for a budget-conscious audience. In contrast, Republic Wireless is an MVNO that offers low-cost plans with a unique twist: all of its plans include unlimited talk and text, but data is only available when you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.

While MVNOs don't have the marketing muscle of MNOs, they often provide cheaper alternatives for customers who are willing to trade off some features (like LTE data speeds) for a lower monthly bill.
